In the world, a small number people control most of the money, authority, and freedom. Except for these few people, most people work harder and harder, yet they still acquire little. In my opinion, this kind of value is extremely unfair for people who work hard. I believe that you get what you pay. Nevertheless, face the truth is, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
According to “Another idea about American values” by Robert Bellah, It is remarkably powerful. That sometime Americans pay too much attention to individual aims. This can have a bad effect on Americans who don’t show concern for other people.
In this article, a significant sentence is “He says that in such a system, only a small number of people can be winners.” I see eye to eye with his opinion and this sentence is also associated with my life. I had a teacher who serviced his students diligently. He always did his best, even though his boss blamed him. His salary isn’t what he deserves; therefore, unfortunately he didn’t get what he deserved.
When I was young, I saw a Chinese movie named” How Ba.” This movie is about an extraordinary student who worked hard at company after he graduated from a decent school.
Suddenly, another person came to this company and became his boss, even though he just graduated from high school. The reason was this person had a relationship with this company’s owner.
Individualism is a worse value. In this society, we can’t reap what we sow. As far as I can tell, if we all adjust our mind, attempting to help each other, then this world will become what we are willing. A correct value can make people’s life becomes more beautiful.
